Whole Indian spices, turmeric, chilies, and aromatics arranged on a wooden table
Pleasanton, California

Spices and millets, still close to the farm.

Manam Foods buys turmeric, Byadgi chili, ragi, thinai, and the rest of the South Indian pantry straight from growers in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka — then packs them for Bay Area kitchens.

Why Manam

Named for the feeling of cooking with what is ours.

Manam means heart, mind, and “ours.” We started this company in Pleasanton so families here can cook with the same spices and millets that farmers in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka grow for their own homes — not the faded dust at the back of a supermarket jar.

Lots are small. Grinds are honest. We do not cut turmeric with starch or dye chili for extra red. If a harvest is late, we wait.
